Privacy Policy
Applies to the Schulte mobile application · Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Schulte app (the “App”) collects, how it is used, and what it does not collect. By using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What we collect
Personal information
The App works entirely on your device. We do not require an account, sign-in, or any personal details, and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information. The App has no server component: it does not transmit your data to us or to anyone else.
Stored locally on your device only
- Game records — your best completion times and results for each board size and mode. They exist only to show your progress on the Records screen.
- Settings — language, sound, haptics, mistake penalty, and your chosen board size, mode, order, and number visibility.
- Interface state — such as the last selected options, so the App opens the way you left it.
These values are stored in the App’s private storage on your device. They are never uploaded, backed up, or shared with us.
2. What we do NOT collect
The App is built around minimal data collection. We do not collect, store, or log:
- any personal data or account information;
- your location, contacts, photos, or files;
- your advertising identifier or any device hardware identifiers;
- usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioural telemetry;
- anything you type, tap, or view inside the App.
The App does not send your data anywhere: it makes no network requests, contacts no analytics or advertising servers, and runs no background uploads. Your records and settings simply never leave your device.
3. How we use your information
- To make the App work — show your records, apply your settings, and keep your progress between sessions.
- To let you reset your data — the Records reset control in Settings clears your saved results at any time.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, research, or selling it to third parties. There is no analytics or advertising SDK in the App.
4. Sharing and disclosure
- We do not sell your personal data — we do not receive it in the first place.
- No third-party processors — the App makes no network requests, so no third party processes any information on our behalf.
- Google Play — if the App is distributed through Google Play, Google processes download and installation data under Google’s own privacy policy. If in-app purchases are ever added, they will be processed by Google Play; we never see or store your payment card details.
- Legal obligations — if we are legally required to disclose data we actually hold, we will comply to the extent the law requires. We hold no usage or browsing activity to disclose, because none is ever collected.
5. Data retention
- Records and settings — kept on your device until you reset them in the App or until the App is removed.
- Deleting the App (or clearing its data in your device settings) removes everything described above permanently.
Because all data is local, you can erase it yourself at any time without contacting us.
6. Data security
- Your data stays in the App’s private storage on your device and is not accessible to other applications.
- The App does not transmit your records or settings over the network, so there is no transmission that could be intercepted.
- We apply platform-standard protections provided by Android, including app sandboxing.
No method of storage is 100% secure, but the offline design of the App keeps your data under your control.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the GDPR if you are in the EEA/UK), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you — we hold none beyond what stays on your device;
- delete your local data at any time from within the App or your device settings;
- object to or restrict processing — there is no processing beyond storing your records locally.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in section 9. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal information through any other channel, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or by other appropriate means. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
